How to Make Sushi at Home


Chef Brian West shows us how to make homemade sushi!

How to cook the perfect sushi rice

Ingredients:
16 fluid ounces Japanese Sushi Rice
24 fluid ounces water
4 inch square seaweed paper
2 fluid ounces rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  • To cook rice, place rice and water in a pot and bring to a simmer. Add in seaweed paper and simmer 15 minutes or until cooked.
  • Heat together vinegar, honey and salt to dissolve.
  • Once rice is cooked, pour hot rice into a bowl and toss with vinegar seasoning. Allow to come to room temperature.
