Spiked Mountain Dew coming soon

Mountain Dew is introducing another interesting beverage, Spiked Mountain Dew.

It's a malt beverage called “Hard Mtn Dew,” and will hit shelves in early 2022.

PepsiCo and the Boston Beer Company made the announcement Tuesday. There will be a citrus flavor, along with black cherry and watermelon. All three drinks will have an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 5%, roughly the same as White Claw or Truly.

"We know that adult drinkers' tastes are evolving, and they are looking for new and exciting flavorful beverages. The combination of our experience in brewing and developing the best-tasting hard seltzers and hard teas, and MTN DEW, a one of kind multi-billion dollar brand, will deliver the excitement and refreshment that drinkers know and love," said Dave Burwick, Boston Beer's CEO.

The new drink is expected to hit shelves early next year.
