Girl Scouts introduce new 'Exploremores' cookie for upcoming sales season

When Girl Scouts cookie sales start in January, cookie enthusiasts will have a new treat to look forward to.

The organization announced on Tuesday the addition of a Rocky Road-inspired cookie called "Exploremores."

The new chocolate cookie features a creamy filling with hints of chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond-flavored crème. Like other Girl Scouts cookies, "Exploremores" will be available for purchase both online and in person through local troops.

Nearly 700,000 scouts participate in the annual cookie sale, which is a significant fundraising event for the organization.

Earlier this year, the Girl Scouts revamped their cookie lineup, discontinuing the "S'mores" and "Toast-Yay!" cookies after several years on the market.
