For all the fast food lovers out there, there's good news! Scientists have engineered a low fat french fry using a new frying oil as a healthier alternative.
Researchers at Minnesota-based food-tech company Calyxt are behind the creation. The fries made with their oil were “exactly as one might expect from a normal bath of hot oil — crispy and yummy,” wrote taste tester and Observer writer Arick Wierson.
