Seeking Justice: Attorney Nico LaHood Explains the Legal Process Behind High Profile Cases

When a case captures public attention, emotions can run high, but understanding the law is the key. Attorney Nico LaHood from LaHood Norton Goss Law Group, Alamo City Expert, joined us this morning to talk about how the legal system works and what justice really means.

LaHood just finished a very serious case involving the Uvalde shooting. From the very beginning of jury selection to presenting evidence, LaHood kept everyone focused on the case itself, instead of the graphic and tragic event that surrounds the case.

LaHood even says, “It was never us versus the families it was this pursuit for justice, for truth.”

He explained that in emotionally charged cases, it’s essential for attorneys, jurors, and the court to stay grounded in the facts. According to LaHood, the goal is not to diminish the tragedy, but to separate emotion from evidence so the legal process remains fair and unbiased.

LaHood hopes that by helping the community understand how the legal process works, more people will see that even in high profile tragedies, the goal remains the same: a fair and honest path to justice.
