Banana Ball Takes Over San Antonio

Baseball gets a wild twist as the Texas Tailgaters and Party Animals bring high-energy fun to Nelson Wolff Stadium.
Banana Ball comes to San Antonio this weekend, and the Texas Tailgaters and the Party Animals are delivering a one-of-a-kind experience. Corderro was out there live at Nelson Wolff Stadium to see what’s in store!
He caught up with second baseman Jonathan Luders and third baseman Travis Moniot to talk about what makes Banana Ball so special. Luders, known for riding a unicycle while playing, brings a whole new level of entertainment to the field, blending athleticism with circus-worthy balance.
Moniot shared what makes being a Banana Ball player worth it: the connection with fans. The fan experience is everything to them. Players spend hours before the game tailgating, signing autographs, and just hanging out, creating unforgettable memories for families and first-time visitors alike.
And yes, the three of them even joined in on a hot dog catching contest. It’s all part of the chaos, charm, and community that makes Banana Ball more than just a game.
