Learn about the History and Importance of Wigs

With National Big Wig Day coming up on Friday, we've brought in our own big wig, Celebrity Historian Raffi Andonian was here to tell us about hair fashion all the way back in George Washington's day.

Fun Fact: George Washington didn't wear a wig, instead he powdered his hair. Wigs became popular because people were beginning to go bald due to syphilis, so people started wearing wigs to appear healthy. Starting with royalty wigs eventually became important to everyone, to the point of having master wigs makers.
