Here's what's happening in San Antonio this weekend


SAN ANTONIO – We are expecting a very busy weekend downtown, particularly on Saturday, due to the overlap of the Paul McCartney concert at the Alamodome, Muertos Fest at Hemisfair, and the Market Square celebrations. Plan ahead for parking and traffic or use public transportation.

VIA will be offering their Park and Ride service free on Saturday from 3 to 9pm with return service until one hour after the Paul McCartney concert. Service will be from the Crossroads Park & Ride, the Brooks Transit Center and the Frost Bank Center lots 6 and 7.

Day of the Dead River Parade (Friday at 7 p.m. at 418 Villita Street) Attendees can see decorated floats and beautiful costumes celebrating life and loved ones. This is a ticketed event that you can still sign up for. "We want everybody to come out and have a good time," says Johnny Hernandez, Founder of Day of the Dead San Antonio.

Muertos Fest at Hemisfair: (all weekend) This is one of the largest and most well-known Day of the Dead celebrations in the U.S. It features live music, traditional artwork, a dance, processions, live poetry, and the largest open altar exhibition in San Antonio. Learn more...
