Healing Hearts: A Telethon for Cancer Patients in Need

When you have cancer, the financial toll can be overwhelming. That’s why our station is raising money to help, and it’s a cause near and dear to our hearts. Karen Martinez, our beloved friend and co-worker, lost her life to cancer more than 13 years ago. Her legacy lives on through the Healing Hearts Telethon, which continues to help countless cancer patients in our community.

Joining us are Alaina Weynand with the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation, the beneficiary of the telethon, and Ruthe Jones, who knows firsthand the impact of their support.

Thrivewellhelps patients access critical care, offering assistance with transportation, nutrition, housing, education, and more. Their mission is to ensure no one has to fight cancer alone or without the resources they need.

Ruthe shared her story of how Thrivewell helped her not only get the care she needed, but also find joy and connection through community activities and support programs.
