"Neon Drive" is an exploration of refracted light—a mesmerizing dance of colors and shapes that captivates all who pass by.

This mural is not only a standalone masterpiece but also a companion to the existing mural project on the northwest section of the Nolan Street underpass.

In 2013, the mural project was initiated by Alex Rubio, as part of San Anto Cultural Arts and the Blue Star Contemporary MOSAIC program.

Together, these murals create a dynamic tapestry of artistic expression that resonates throughout the community.

Commissioned by Public Art San Antonio, this project received invaluable support from the 2012-2017 Bond Program and the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town Grant Project.

In the heart of our neighborhood, the mural shares a canvas of light and color that invites us all to take a journey through the world of imagination and creativity.
