Pawcakes for your dog on National Love Your Pet Day

Tomorrow is National Love Your Pet Day and El Paso correspondent Amy Licerio worked with Eve’s Pawcakes to bake up something special for the day. Make these yummy treats for your dogs for a decadent treat they will not forget.

Pawcakes Recipe:
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup shredded carrot
1/2 cup Greek yogurt

Frosting Recipe:
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk all the dry ingredients together in a medium bowl and
all wet ingredients in a separate bowl then mix together until well incorporated.
Using a spoon, scoop the batter into a lined six-muffin tin.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until firm.
Place all of the ingredients for the frosting in a bowl and mix well.
Pipe or spoon the frosting onto the cooled Paw Pupcake!
Then top it with your fresh veggies or fruit!!!
