Beyond the Game: Somerset and Veterans Memorial High School

Sports are about more than just wins and losses, and this week we're highlighting two schools that prove it.

Somerset High School girls basketball team helped distribute gifts across the community. They also sponsored a student to ensure a local child felt care, joy and holiday spirit.

Veterans Memorial High School cross country team stood besides women struggling with breast cancer by participating and assisting at the Susan G. Komen walk.

These students are proving that character, compassion, and community spirit are just as important as athletic achievement.
