Rapid Fire: Heavy sodas & farewell to Catfish

#ThingsAreAboutToGetHeavy
Ever sip a fountain drink and think, “This could be sweeter”? Enter the latest trend: Heavy Soda. It’s gaining traction online and especially in places like southern Missouri, where it reportedly originated. The idea? Soda machines are being tweaked to increase the syrup-to-water ratio, creating a super-sweet version of your favorite drink.

Why? Some say it’s perfect for those who grab a big soda in the morning, because as the ice melts throughout the day, the flavor stays strong instead of turning watery. Genius or sugar overload? And hey, could this concept work with cocktails too?

#Canceled
After nine seasons and over 200 episodes, MTV has officially canceled Catfish: The TV Show. The series, inspired by the 2010 documentary, brought online deception into the spotlight and gave us the term “catfishing.” Hosted by Nev Schulman, the show investigated fake online relationships and became a cultural touchstone.

MTV will still air reruns, and producers are free to shop the show elsewhere. So, will you miss it, or was it time to log off?
