Winter travel trends & top destinations for 2025

Winter is on the way and travel season is still going strong. Plus 2025 is bringing some new trends to watch. Marika Flatt from Texas Lifestyle Magazine joined us to highlight her favorite winter destinations.

She broke down some travel trends:

• Sleep divorce - when a couple sleeps in separate beds during travel
• Frolleagues - when friends travel with their colleague for vacation
• Me mooners - a fun way to say solo traveling
• Hurkle Durkling - when you spend a whole trip in bed

Her must see places:

• Paws Up Resort - Greenough, Montana
• Similar to Yellowstone, it's a beautiful working ranch that is surrounded by trees and has fantastic food. There are even tree houses you can rest in or resort buildings. Winter brings amazing snow sports and activities.
• Haywood Country, North Carolina
• Winter is an off season here and it is very budget friendly, but it is still incredibly beautiful and has amazing food opportunities. Lots of chances to hike, eat, and rest.
• Hotel Ritual - Jacksonville, Texas
• A brand-new hotel for those who don't want to do anything outdoorsy. They have a spa and is located in a tight nit tudor style mansion.
