16 egg yolks
2 cups of sugar
1 cups of milk
1 cups of heavy cream
1/4 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1 Tbl White Truffle Oil

Recipe Preparation Instructions:
Combine cream, milk, sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan. Scrape in seeds from vanilla bean; add pod. Bring mixture just to a simmer, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat. Cover and let sit 30 minutes. Remove the vanilla pod.

Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a medium bowl until pale, about 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in 1/2 cup warm cream mixture. Whisk yolk mixture into remaining cream mixture. Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick enough to coat a wooden spoon, 2–3 minutes.

Strain custard into an airtight container and refrigerate for 24 hours.
