Dish It Out Holiday drinking tips:
1) Choose sugar free or low calorie mixers such as sparkling flavored waters, diet sodas, water, or reduced sugar juices.
2) Drink with meals or have a light snack with your adult beverages.
3) Pace yourself and stay hydrated by drinking water between drinks.
Mistletoe Mimosas
4 ounces cranberry juice, light
4 ounces champagne, prosecco, or sparkling white wine
Fresh whole cranberries
Fresh rosemary sprigs
Directions
Place fresh cranberries in the freezer overnight.
Pour cranberry juice and champagne in a champagne glass.
Garnish with frozen cranberries and sprig of rosemary.
Pomegranate Mojito
1/4 cup mint leaves, and additional leaves for garnish
1/2 lime, juiced
Crushed ice
2 ounces pomegranate or cran-pomegranate juice, light
1 oz light rum
4 ounces sugar free sparkling lime-flavored water
1 ounce pomegranate seeds
Directions
In a glass muddle mint and lime juice with wooden muddler or wooden spoon.
Fill the glass with crushed ice. Pour in pomegranate juice, rum, and sparkling lime-flavored water and stir.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds and mint leaves.
Candy Cane Hot Cocoa
8 ounce Sugar free instant hot chocolate, prepared
2 cups vodka plain
5 large candy canes
Whipped topping
Crushed candy cane for garnish
Prepare candy cane vodka:
Fill large mason jar with 2 cups plain vodka and 5 candy canes. Secure with lid and shake.
Soak for 5 hours or overnight in cool and dry place.
Fill mug with prepared hot cocoa.
Stir in 1 ounce candy cane vodka.
Garnish with whipped topping and crushed candy cane.
