RECIPE: National Pancake Day, September 26th


Saturday, September 26th is National Pancake Day, and anytime of day is the PERFECT time for some pancakes! Chef Kimberly Brock Brown is showing us how to make the perfect fluffy pancakes with a bourbon syrup!

Ingredients:

-2 cups self-rising White Lilly Flour

-1/4 cup granulated sugar

-1/2 teaspoon baking soda

-1 3/4 cups buttermilk

-1/4 cup butter melted

-2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

-2 eggs

Instructions:

-Combine all the dry ingredients.

-Combine all of the liquid ingredients.

-Add the liquid to the dry. Whisk only to incorporate. Might be slightly lumpy. Rest the batter 15 minutes before cooking.

-On medium heat, in an oiled skillet or griddle, cook pancakes until nicely browned.

-Enjoy any sized pancake.
