Fluffy stops by El Paso high school to encourage students

Comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias made a stop at Bowie High School in El Paso, Texas. Iglesias surprised the students at what they thought was a pep rally. The comedian wanted to encourage the students to do well on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams they will be taking in the coming weeks.

Angel Gomez of Operation Hope asked Iglesias in November if he could stop by the school. Gomez says Bowie High School tends to get a bad wrap being so close to the border and as a former student at that school, he knows the students can always use the encouragement. Operation H.O.P.E., otherwise known as Helping Other People Endure, was founded to make a difference in the community.
