Kendra Scott handing out $2,000 each to 50 moms across the US as 'PTO Fund'

Austin's own Kendra Scott is looking to give moms across the country a little paid time off this spring.

Kendra Scott Mother’s Day Personal Time Off Fund will provide $2,000 each to 50 moms across the country in the lead-up to Mental Health Awareness Month and Mother’s Day.

This "PTO Fund" is meant to give moms some well-earned time off by covering child care--or other needs--so that mothers will feel enabled to take personal time off and focus on their mental health.

The brand also wants to bring attention to the unpaid labor that all mothers do, which so often goes overlooked.

Kendra Scott says that both work-from-home and stay-at-home moms contribute nearly $11 trillion of unpaid labor annually.

Moms who want to apply to receive a $2,000 payment from the "Kendra Scott Mother’s Day PTO Fund" can post a picture or video of themselves and their “real life mom” stories tagging @kendrascott and #WearItLikeaMom on Instagram through April 22nd.
