Lady Bird Johnson famously said “where flowers bloom, so does hope.” The Highway Beautification Act, nicknamed “Lady Bird’s Bill, was her pet project. She knew that Texans loved their state and no one would have the nerve to throw trash on a beautiful field of our state flower, the bluebonnet.

Texas is home to more than 90 state parks so there are plenty of places to take some amazing pictures. Check out the Texas Parks & Wildlife website for information on where the best spots are this season.
