Christmas in Sun City at El Paso's Winterfest

The city of El Paso has made a winter wonderland of the downtown area.

Winterfest is an annual event that takes place after Thanksgiving into December.

Rick Isaias with the city of El Paso says the events taking place in the heart of El Paso draw in people from neighboring cities of Las Cruces and Juarez, and west Texas.

Visitors can catch a free movie in the plaza theater.

The San Jacinto square shines bright with more than 400,000 lights and the Christmas tree, providing many photo opportunities.

The Mini Donut Depot has taken over the Holiday Café, providing hot drinks and snacks.

The kiddos can also sign up to have breakfast with Santa.

Pricing and more information on the Winterfest events is available online.
